The Miraculous Journey of Shri Chanvaleshwar Parshvanath Digamber Jain Atishaya Kshetra, Chainpura ,Bhilwara,RAJASTHAN.
In the heart of Rajasthan, atop the high hill of Kalighati Kshetra in the Arawali mountain range, stands the sacred Shri Chanvaleshwar Parshvanath Digamber Jain Atishaya Kshetra in Chainpura. This revered site is where the samavsharan (divine assembly) of Lord Parshwanath first moved from Bijoliya, as inscribed in ancient texts.
Around 1,000 years ago, a cowkeeper noticed that one of his cows, belonging to Seth Nathmal Shah, returned from grazing without milk. Curious, he followed her and discovered that she offered her milk at a specific spot on the hill.
Intrigued, the cowkeeper told Seth Nathmal Shah about this strange behavior. That night, Seth dreamt of a magnificent idol of Bhagwaan Parshvanath beneath the very spot where the cow had given her milk. The divine message was clear: he must unearth the idol and build a temple.
The next day, guided by his dream, Seth and his companions ascended the hill, reciting the Namokar Mahamantra as they dug. Soon, they uncovered a stunning two-foot tall Padmasana idol of Bhagwaan Parshvanath, made of grey sandstone.
Inspired by this miraculous find, Seth constructed a grand temple, which was consecrated in 1216 after the Panch Kalyanka Prathishtha ceremony. As word of the Atishaya Kshetra spread, devotees flocked to this sanctuary, drawn by tales of miracles and divine blessings.
Today, as visitors ascend the 110 steps to the temple, they embark on a spiritual journey, retracing the footsteps of countless devotees. The hill, once known as Chulgiri, serves as a reminder that faith can lead to miraculous discoveries, making Shri Chanvaleshwar Parshvanath a cherished haven for all who seek its blessings.
