Gandhi Ashram was established in the year 1920 by the influence of Mahatma Gandhi himself ,our great national leaders such as P.t Jawahar Lal Nehru,J.B Kripalani,Jaiprakash Narayan,Indira Gandhi,Lal Bahadur Shastri and the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi himself had stayed here. Chaudhry Raghubir Narayan Singh Tyagi ji a jamidar of Asaura,Hapur donated this to Gandhi ashram.
